Engineers usually do good in Finance, however Marketing and Systems is also a good field.
PGDM is a diploma and not that recognised internationaly, on the other hand a degree in management has more weight.

hey you can choose either HR or finance specialization, both are good. And if you are confuse about choosing the best college for your Mba, have a look on http://psbg.in/

Hello,
I am Bachelor's Degree holder with Distincton in subject of Electronics and Telecommunication and Currently working as a Electronics engineer in MNC.
Kindly guide me for the MBA specialisation course that would be helpful for my career.
I dont want to specialize in Finance, so do suggest me any other course related to technical field.
Thanks in advance,

Decide on the industry vertical which attracts you.
Then work towards your specialization.
Which is the industry in which you will like to work and which
specialization you are comfortable with.
It is not which specialization you do but in which specialization you
will perform ie deliver better than others.

Finance require more quantitative skills. Engineers generally have that. So, for engineers finance specialization is more appropriate. One more reason for my preference for finance is that it's more mental than physical. But if you are planning to become a CEO of a company, then marketing is a better option. It's a trend that marketing guys become CEO more frequently then a finance specialized person. :)

Basically there is not much difference in MBA and PGDM as PGDM from some Institutes is recognized as equal to MBA. Degree can only be offered by a university and hence IIMs and some other Institutes give PGDM instead of MBA. Some Institutes not approved for MBA degree start PGDM course. Some autonomous Institutes which can not use the term MBA start PGDM programme.
PGDM not approved as equal to MBA is suitable for working professionals.
A one year PGDM programme is not equivalent to MBA.
