Hello Mohana,

I just replied to Maddy - you can check that..

However dont mind giving some suggestion

I prepared for CAT 2008.

There is no defined path as such to get to IIM. We are conditioned to prepare in a particular way right from childhood - CAT is different - out of 300000 students you will have to be extra ordinary no dbt.

Let me share my experience -
1. Any reputed coaching centres will give some fantastic material ..no dbt about that. However coaching I beg to differ..you need to be lucky to get good teachers..that plays the role - I can also find the most tough sums - if there is somebody who can help you HELP YOURSELF - then it makes the difference

2. CAT is not the usual PU exam etc...It has something very crucial which we fail to identify..

I had been through CATLounge and it gave me a great feeling. There is no teaching and preaching - it just helps you solve problems yourself - you will learn to identify the smart way of doing sums - it will give you no choice but solve it yourself - which enhances your confidence - that is the key to CAT.

If you have any doubts - be it anything about CAT or the site - be frank and I will try my best to assist you. I am also preparing for CAT2009 ;-)
my mail id is - problemsolving2009@gmail.com

Cheers!!

Hi,

I have few queries as follows:
1. How we will get CAT examination notification, generally in which month we will get notification?
2. What is the minimum qualification.
3. What proofs we should provide along with examination application?
4. How we will came to know with prior intimation the causes of application rejected if any?
5. What are all the precautions we should take in application fillup?

Note: My sister has been applied for CAT entrance examination(2008-2009), but didn't recieve hallticket from the IIM hence i made a call to help line which is provided in application for status checking then only we came to application was cancelled/rejected due to insufficient document submition. We don't have prior intimation to resumbit the documents again, as my suggestion is we should get intimation. Because of this simple issue students will lose one year.

I will appriciate/happy if anyone answer for the above?

Regards,
Subbarao.

Shubham you should go with the Hotel Management job. Though a call center job is also good, hotel management will give you an edge.

Karthikeyan do not worry about which kind of job experience, you should be able to answer questions on the job you have done to prove your dedicaton ...thats all I guess!!!
